THE EMPIRE
Existing only as a concept at the moment, Aston Martin have made clear their plans to turn the AM-RB 001 into a real road car to be produced in very limited numbers along with 25 race cars.
It will be a proper hyper car in every sense of the word, producing huge amounts of down force from a carbon fiber body and powered by a naturally aspirated V12 making 1hp per kg of weight. So at a guess somewhere around a 1000+hp.
It is being developed jointly with Red Bull Racing, both companies will share the engineering and Aston Martin will handle final production. Due in 2018 it will be interesting in it’s lack of hybrid power train and what sounds like a very simple and stripped back approach to engineering the chassis with an emphasis on light weight and very high performance F1 type suspension components.
