Motorcycles on Holiday!

With everything slowing down now for the Christmas / New Years break, I thought I’d take the time to show my appreciation for all the support you guys have given us over the last 12 months. We wouldn’t be anywhere near as awesome without you guys pushing us to be better all the time! So cheers, have a beer for me, and have a safe and relaxing break.

On a slightly different note, the holidays always means more bikes on the roads, so please keep an eye out for our two-wheeled brethren, we’re just trying to enjoy our time off the best way we know! Whether it’s just a quick spin up to the shop for milk, or a 1000km round trip to Wanganui for the road racing on Boxing Day, riding my bike is what keeps me sane. The weather is awesome, the roads are quieter, and the smile on my face is huge. I know for a fact, every biker out there feels exactly the same.

Some people won’t understand the sense of freedom that being a motorcycle rider gives you. To me, it’s like everything else in the world evaporates, my stress disappears, and my sole focus is the next corner up ahead. And then the next. I think everyone should have something that does the same thing for them, whether it be lifting weights, or smashing out riffs on a guitar, or shooting targets (whether in real life or on a screen), or whatever you can find that takes your mind to that place of bliss. For me it’s two wheels. Nothing else comes close.

So Merry Christmas to you and your family, wherever you may be and whatever you may be doing – make sure you take the time to find that place of bliss for yourself. Without it, what’s the point in this existence? Keep an eye out for me and my mates doing what we love, and we’ll do the same for you. The future holds so many more cool possibilities that no-one even knows about yet, and I for one look forward to sharing some of them with you guys on here! And a massive thank-you again, for keeping us going at The Empire – let’s make the next 12 months even bigger and better than the last!
