Talk of India Review

So given recent circumstances I’ve been eating out a lot lately one of which being Talk of India, so in typical food review format lets get the ball rolling

Talk of India Tauranga – Cameron Road

Why here?

Cause I saw it driving down the main road, there was a park out side.

First impressions were much of a muchness, clean and well presented, not many people in but it was early and it was a monday night.

when the girl came to do drinks orders a plate of poppadoms with condiments came with, nice touch..

We ordered some Seek Skewers as starters to share, not quite as tasty as I would have hoped but good none the less and I will get them again next time.

In typical kiwi guy just wanted a curry fashion I ordered the butter chicken which was amazing, one of the best I’ve had in NZ I must say, the rice wasn’t quite what I was hoping I preferr a more sticky type rice and this was a more traditional basmati type rice which to be fair should have been expected.

Staff were awesome, the owner was very chatty and good for a laugh and by the by they had a very well stocked booze wall with most anything I could think of I even saw Jim Beam Ghost I didnt think anyone stocked that!

so brass tacks

What we had,

seek skewer starter
2x butter chicken
1x chicken korma
2x plain naan
2 mango icecream dessert things
and booze

totalled $114, which was cheaper than the previous nights Cobb n Co outing and miles better

So over all I’d give it a 9 outa 10 which is pretty rare for me its not perfect but its pretty awesome so if you fancy a good curry while in Tauranga take me with you!
