Cocavo is a coconut and avocado oil and is used for cooking, and as a substitute for your cooking oils.
Cocavo contains 518kj per 1 tbsp, it contains a 14g of fat, 11g being saturated fat (bad fat) and 2g being monounsaturated fat (good fat).
As a nutritionist, I would usually advise my clients to use Extra virgin olive oil, as this is considered the healthiest cooking oil to use, but I thought I would try Cocavo to see what the fuss was about.
Cocavo, with the avocado oil infused was very yummy to say the least! I used it when cooking my stir fry and even put some on my roasted vegetables before cooking, it was a great addition to my foods. There was a slightly sweeter taste to my food when I used this as oppose to Extra virgin olive oil, but nothing too noticeable.
The one thing I love about Cocavo is that it is New Zealand made! Not only that it is considered one of the healthiest coconut oils as it contains a lower amount of saturated fat than other coconut oils on the market.
The New Zealand heart foundation suggest that occasional use of coconut oil is not a problem, so if you are only using this occasionally and you really love your coconut oil, then I would highly recommend Cocavo as it is the healthiest coconut oil on the market, due to the lower saturated fat amount in it than the others.
Cocavo has a variety of flavors including, Coconut and Avocado oil (original), Chilli & Lime, Turmeric and Lemon, and Coriander Lime and Ginger. It sells for aroun $10.99-12.95 depending on the flavor and you can purchase it from https://shop.cocavo.com
Happy cooking!
