Well, this is it
the last ever HSV’s .. Ok lets start with the best first, The W1 will be the top offering, LS9 powered giving 470kW of raw brutal awesomeness, however an almost $200,000 pricetag is going to have this special and very limited toy for a select few
Oh and you can only get it in manual, but you can’t get it, cause only 20 are coming to NZ and they are spoken for as we understand it
You may however be able to get your sweaty little hands on either the CLubsport R8 LSA which is a car we love, the maloo or the sport tourer which is a car I am personally quite interested in owning and of course the GTS and Senators
As expected with the way HSV tweak their holdens, many hand me down parts and everything seems to be much more ‘much-ier’ and given what we know of the previous clubsport, that ain’t bad!
Pricing hasn’t changed too much either, aside from the W1 you can expect the usual $100k – $130k and with a bit of luck you’l have your car by May
On a personal note, I was late to the whole Holden family only getting my first a year ago, and between that and the cars we’ve reviewed over the last couple of years it’s sad, like really sad.. as soon as I got behind my first HSV I was hooked, I’ve known since I hit that button and gripped that wheel I wanted to drive the sport wagon, Those cars are so ideal for driving on New Zealand roads over long distance and being comfy and having all that grunt to pass that dickhead doing 80 everywhere..
Maybe i’ll get a 2nd hand one, one day… Until then I have my figners crossed to review the last hurrah if it comes to us.. and maybe not give it back..
Here’s our Video on the last HSV Clubsport
