Had a genuinely good time at Speed Show this year, a really good selection of cars, including some rare race cars with loads of pedigree and some cool vehicles on loan from Southwards Car Museum.
Here is a few of the highlights:
V12 Toyota, 5.0L shares its basic design with the 4 cylinder FE engine. This one has been heavily modified with reinforced internals to run twin turbos.
BMW E21 race car build, showing off some some great engineering and partial space frame.
Honda K20 attached to a Toyota box in a Fraser.
SACHS Rotary in a drift trike!
SR20VE conversion in a Mini, complete with a mix of GTi and GTi-R brakes
Yip, V10.
One very fast Porsche, worth doing some reading up on Racing Ray Williams.
Possibly the most successful race car ever made in NZ, powered a Lycoming aircraft engine.
And of course the worlds greatest bike.
