Harajuku Chicken – Review

So after my many emails and tweets, Burgerfuel has done a crumbed chicken burger!! Praise the gods!

The Harajuku Chicken burger is an orient inspired chicken burger featuring the following

Tonkatsu Sauce
Panko Chicken
Yum Yum Mayo
Soba Noodle salad
Sesame Dressing.

it was also supposed to come with a slice of lemon which i didn’t see but that wasn’t the end of the world as I don’t think I would have put it on anyway

So … have my prayers and ritualistic sacrafices been worth it??

The chicken was awesome, well cooked and juicy in the awesome coating which was also cleverly sliced up to fill the burger to make each bite even which was something I hadnt seen before and was highly impressed by

the sauce combo reminded me of some kinda flavour if you ordered a sort of bbq / mayo fried chicken from a Japanese restaurant, naturally lettuce added to the burger but the thing that got me about this burger is why did they feel the need to put noodles in it?? It added an interesting flavour which wasn’t overly welcome and the texture was slightly off putting..

overall as it came I wasn’t blown away by this burger, it had some awesome features but at a critical cost which for me in the future would be a deal breaker, next time I think i’ll take advantage of the chicken pattie but I’ll somewhat create my own, even just taking out the noodles and keeping the sauces would have been enough for me

Overall I’ll only give this burger a 5/10 which is pretty significant since most burgerfuel burgers rank in the 8+ catagory

It was a nice idea but hasn’t worked out for me ..
