So running around on the internet is this image.
This image was thought by many including us to be a legit tease of a 2016 Crash Bandicoot Reboot…
However no more than an hour after posting this image on our Tech Cave facebook page the rumours came in, Was it legit? was it fan art? was it a rumor that became truth?
This post took the internet by storm our own post reaching almost 9 million people in just a few hours…We were not alone, other big outlets were also sucked in running the story as true proving the fans very much wanted this to be true. We’ve not seen anything new from Naughty Dog with Crash Bandicoot since CTR in 1999 sure its passed through other hands since but its never been the same..
IGN reported: It looks like Crash isn’t coming back after all. At least, not in any way NECA is aware of. In a statement to GameSpot, a NECA Toys representative said “Someone has misunderstood a comment,” made by director Randy Falk. Apparently Falk “saw a faked fan-made image,” and was speaking of a hypothetical scenario “if the game were coming back,” in which case NECA said it would “love to do figures.”
The Truth of the matter was, This image was created by a small game review website PRESSSTART out of Australia as an April Fools day prank having created the above image and some convincing art work to boot
People are still thinking the rumors are true and the posts are still flying around the internet like wild fire. What seemed to have been intended as a bit of fun has pulled on geeks heart strings so deeply the internet is mourning something that never even happened and the not well known creators are feeling the burn from the angry internet

How do we know this is true? because the post creator contacted us directly asking us to give props for the image and apply credit where it was due, we ended up removing the image as we as many others were also, more than a little upset to find out it was nothing more than a sick joke
So yep… who knows maybe this post will show naughty dog they need to get their asses into gear and get a reboot going…
