Diggity Dog with the King of Cheat Meals – Review

So this isn’t a burger, it’s not even pizza

But we were at the Pizza Library at Mount Mounganui for something a little different

So a quick back story, My mates partner is the king of cheat meals, and if you haven’t seen his facebook page you’re gona want to check it out for some serious food porn. Having the bros in town we had to get something new we hadn’t tried before and Sarah found these very, very long hot dogs at the Pizza Library so that was us set.

So, reviews right?

Why here? I just told you jeeze

Parking was easy, we were there around 2pm so we had missed the lunch rush and more or less had the place to ourselves for the most of it, its super easy to find and there was plenty of seating, we risked outside as the weather was a bit iffy and mostly just had to put up with wind

Staff were super friendly both the cute girls seemed to be travelers but I guess you get that in that sort of area being a high tourist kinda place

we didn’t have to wait long to get our orders I was actually surpirsed how quick it was but I guess there isn’t too much prep into slapping a long sausage in a tight bun and … yeah I read that back, sorry not sorry

These are touted as the longest in the country and I think they are welcome to have that claim I didnt have a tape measure but they were well over a foot long could be even a foot and a half ( man measurements to account for please ladies)

Anyway.. the prices

All up was $24 for me
I ordered
“The spicy one”
curly fries
and a coke

I think the dog itself was around $13 ( I should really pay more attention if I’m going to review shit hey) for a one off ” hey we need to try this” its well worth it I feel, the quality was right up there with exotic bread a great piece of meat there was nothing to complain about. The dog was skinnier than I had expected which worked out good cause it made it easier to eat, in fact i was impressed how easy it was to eat. I’d say because it was a solid bread not like the wendys hotdog buns it held itself together well

The only downside I found with this was that we chose to sit outside and we talked and fucked around taking pictures and my dog cooled off in the breeze quite a bit, which is entirely our fault

I dont feel like this is an out of 10 sort of experience because it was its own unique experience, a differnt thing to put in your mouth, querky surroundings made it more than just grabbing a dog for sure

I will say that if you are in the area and this sounds like something you might like, 110% give them a look I loved mine and it’l be on my list of places to take visitors from now on

Will nom again

Until next time
